UCLU Buddhist Society; entice your curiosity and expand your awareness.
UCLU Buddhist Society was founded in 2009 to offer UCL students the chance to experience Buddhist philosophy and ethics.
We meditate and discuss the Dhamma regularly.
We use it as a weapon to challenge our conceptual realities; we use it as a comfort when times are hard; we use it as a refuge from material life and we use it to build a community of like-minded people.
We welcome EVERYONE regardless of cultural or religious background to come and find out a bit more about Buddhism, and learn/practice meditation.
With UCL based in central London, we are extremely lucky to be surrounded by different cultures, temples, and schools of Buddhism. We aim to openly unite all forms of Buddhism within the society. This is acheived through cultural activities such as temple visits. Not only do we want to celebrate the similarities of the schools whilst acknowedging the differences; we also seek to work with other faiths to promote understanding, compassion and inter-faith friendship.

Unfortunately Paula Chitty from the UK Buddhist Society is sick today and will not be able to attend tonight's meeting after all. What a shame! Let's hope she gets better again soon.
