Summer Solstice Celebration
Come and join us as we celebrate Litha and the power of the sun. It's the time of the year when the crops are growing heartily and the earth has warmed up, so what better way to spend a long sunny (hopefully), afternoon enjoying an outdoor ritual, craft making activity, picnic and getting back to nature?
We shall begin to gather at midday, in the central court (marked by the rectangle in the map at the bottom of this message) which is surrounded by a grove of trees.
We start with a group ritual led by Bex (from the Reading Familiars), followed by a simple craft activity led by Wort (Wort Moon Workshops & Berkshire Witches and Wiccans) the afternoon rounds off with a picnic and socialising.
This is a family friendly event, suitable for all - so please feel free to bring relatives and friends (dogs also welcome, but must be kept on a lead). This event is free, but we will be collecting donations on the day to help towards costs.
How to get there:
If coming by car, we suggest parking in the Hills Medow car park, then walking along the riverside path towards Heron Island, the bridge over to View Island is just before this.
There is a regular bus service to Caversham from central Reading.
