Auditions announcement
For
SOUTH PACIFIC, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s beloved musical.

This show will run August 30 thru September 22. Rehearsals will begin in early July.

Auditions June 16 and 17 at 7PM in the Owen Theatre rehearsal hall
A piano accompanist will be available.
Those trying out for a singing role please bring music – music from the show will be provided.

SOUTH PACIFIC takes place in an island paradise during World War II. It is a balance between story, song, hilarity and heartbreak.

The Cast is comprised of the following characters
Emile De Beque – an attractive middle aged man
Nellie Forbush – an attractive young woman
Two children under the age of 10
Henry – [non singing] native servant
Bloody Mary – middle aged native woman
Liat – lovely young Polynesian girl [over 16]
Luther Billis – military hustler
Joseph Cable – young attractive marine lieutenant
Four non singing older officers
Chorus – There are many speaking parts in the chorus as well as lots of character roles.
8 – 10 military nurses
8 – 10 military men
