The Personal Journey is a group of individuals who seek restoration and recovery in their lives through a personal journey with Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. The is a one-day-at-a-time closely knit group of followers of Jesus Christ on a 365/24/7 basis.
Three Highlights of the group:
1. This is about Your Personal Journey(relationship) with Jesus Christ.
►Knowing who you are in Jesus Christ and what you are fighting; and it is not flesh and blood. See Armor of God. (Ephesians 6:10-18)
►God is God the Father of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob. God, the Son, Jesus Christ, and God, the Holy Spirit - three in one --the Holy Trinity. (2 Corinthians 13:14)
►Follow the K.I.S.S. principle - Keep It Simple Saint - But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. (2 Corinthians 11:3 NKJV)
2. Gift of Discernment: Jesus Christ should always be the focus and God always gets the glory. (1 John 4:1-3 NLT)
►Anything anyone tells you is the truth take it first to Christ for discernment, and with the help of the Bible trust Him for an answer.
►The gift of Discernment is the ability to tell truth from a lie. It is a gift of the Holy Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:9-11)
►The Bible is our guidepost, but we need the Holy Spirit for revelation of its words. Satan knows the Bible backwards and forewords.
"The Bible without the Holy Spirit, you dry up...
The Holy Spirit without the Bible, you puff up...
But the Bible being led by the Holy Spirit you grow up!" Jim Cymbala
3. ThePower of True Fellowship: A fellowship of sinners; not a fellowship of saints --Dietrich Bonhoeffer (1906-1945) - It is about getting honest.
A. CONFESSION -
►Power of getting both honest with each other and sharing victories through testimony.
►The Light of Christ is brought into the darkness and evil will flee.
►You realize you are not alone.
B. ACCOUNTABILITY -
►We NEED each other for encouragement and support. (Hebrews 10:24 NIV)
C. UNITY -
►There is strength in numbers and coming in agreement in prayer. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 NLT)
►This is part of God's Master Plan.
