From Uhura to Janeway to Michael Burnham (or Tilly if you'd prefer) Star Trek has a history of brilliant female characters and that's what this week is all about. Let's nominate episodes which feature a woman saving the day or who are the feature of the episode. Just to remind everyone that as we are now watching only one nominated episode each week please only vote once on the poll.

Our First Officer is also going to bring along the prototype for our society mugs so make sure you're there to hear about all the possible options.

As always we'll be meeting on Monday at High Street end of Logic Lane at 19:45 and remember if you'd like some hot chocolate please bring a mug.

E-mail sent by Will Chappell, Friday, 9th November 2018 @ 11:37am

Hi Crew
The theme this week is Hail to the Chief! Nominate your favouite episodes featuring chief engineers in a leading capacity. Maybe they're trying to save the ship by preventing a warp core breach with 5 seconds to spare, or simply spend the entire epsiode spouting technobabble, it does not matter!
Also if you want to come to the crewdate with WhoSoc on Tuesday (13th November), please vote in the poll Rogan has put on the facebook group.
For the meeting as usual it's Monday 1945hrs at the High Street End of Logic Lane, see you there!

E-mail sent by Member 205b96d, Friday, 26th October 2018 @ 3:56pm

Hi everyone,

As Star Trek isn't known for being particularly terrifying this Halloween we're watching episodes taking place in the wonderful world of the Holodeck. This can be any episode which takes place on or features one of the Holodeck programs but if you feel there's a Star Trek episode we should be watching at Halloween feel free to nominate it as well!

Even if you can't join us on Monday come along to our Board Games social on Saturday 4th Week at 8pm in Univ.

As always we'll be meeting on Monday at 19:45 High Street end of Logic Lane, see you there!

3rd Week - I'm a Celebrity, Get Me out of Here!

E-mail sent by Will Chappell, Friday, 19th October 2018 @ 1:51pm

Hi Crew

This week we shall enjoy episodes with guest stars who are not generally known for doing Star Trek (ie not a recurring character). Their presence in the epsiode can be as brief or as involved as you wish.
There might be more options than you expect so Google is your friend!
Please nominate and vote on our facebook group poll (https://www.facebook.com/groups/oxford.star.trek.society/). For anyone new the protocol is that you have two votes you can cast, and if you wish can also nominate up to two epsiodes.

As usual we'll me meeting at the High Street end of Logic Lane at 1945 hrs Monday evening

2nd Week - Worthy of Commendation

E-mail sent by Will Chappell, Friday, 12th October 2018 @ 7:50pm

Hi Crew

As everyone begins to settle back into the Oxford routine, let's settle into some fantastic Star Trek this week with the theme "Worthy of Commendation." Nominate/vote on the group for episodes you feel should be commended as some of the best Star Trek has to offer, and show us why it is the best set of TV shows ever made (I'm biased of course). (As for which is the best of all the individual shows, well you can argue about that yourselves)

We'll be meeting on Monday at 19:45 at the High Street end of Logic Lane by University College as usual, see you there!
