Yes, there’s plenty of sunshine, but I wish there was a bit more warmth in these supposedly summer days so that I could begin wearing skimpy clothing and put my sweaters in moth-balls for a few months.  But, along with bird-song and bee-buzz, this month’s Loose Muse has great writing to keep the smile on your face and give you a natural high, so prepare for a real treat.

This month instead of the regular features we have the ‘Family Matters’ show – a unique showcase of extraordinary true family tales written and performed by four of London’s best-loved poet/writers Agnes Meadows Patricia Foster Linda Shanovitch Janett Plummer taking us on a heart-stopping roller-coaster ride of family stories crossing centuries and continents.  The show illuminates the ways in which we are all connected and how each of us has a fascinating story to tell. Directed by award-winning playwright/director Claire Booker, who will be Guest Host tonight

Monday 8 June - Loose Muse Winchester @ the Discovery Centre, Jewry Street, Winchester, Hants SO23 8SB – 7.30-9.30 p.m. - £5.00 on the door.

Featuring: Jeannie Waudby - reading from her debut novel ‘One Of Us’, and Judith Heneghan, Director of the Winchester Writers’ Festival, reading from her work and take Q&A.
