Hi gang,
With summer easing warmly into a hopefully gentle autumn, we’ll still have plenty to celebrate, as the next Loose Muse will be our 12th birthday – and there will be cupcakes!!!  Bring some of your own to share and make a truly icing-covered, sugary festival.   And don’t forget that for the next few months at least Loose Muse will be changing venue as the Poetry Café will be closed for at least six months for renovation.   
LOOSE MUSE – London’s Premiere Women’s Writers Night will be
September 14ththe second Wednesday of each month
Upstairs @  The Sun Pub, 21 Drury Lane (on the corner of Betterton Street),  London WC2B 5RH
8.00 p.m. with the doors open from 7.30 pm.  £6.00 - £5.00 concessions.   
Features this month will be:
Charlotte Ansell - is a performance poet who has been published in a broad range of magazines including Poetry Review, Mslexia, Now Then and Butcher’s Dog and anthologies including: The Sheffield Anthology: Poems From The City Imagined-2012,  Slim Volume : This body I live in-2015 and The Very Best of 52 anthology-2015. She won the Red Shed Poetry Competition 2015 and one of 6 finalists in the Fun Palaces Write Science competition 2015. With two collections published with Flipped Eye – ‘You were for the poem’ (2003) and ‘After Rain’ (2008) she is working on a long over-due third.
Lilith Ai - is an extraordinarily gifted young singer-songwriter, who has featured at gigs all over the capital and beyond, bringing you her own distinctive brand of songs telling unique and poignant songs.  She was a total knock-out the last time she featured at Loose Muse, and is making a very welcome return now.
Plus there will the usual open mic to share your work at both these events.


Plus….Loose Muse Winchester’ - Monday 12th Septmber @ the Discovery Centre, Jewry Street, Winchester, Hants SO23 8SB – 7.30-9.30 p.m. - £5.00 on the door. Features will be Susmita Bhattacharya presenting her debut novel ‘The Normal State of Mind’ (Parthian 2015), and award winning novelist, teacher and editor Sara Grant.  Hosted as always by the indomitable Sue Wrinch.
 
Plus there will the usual open mic to share your work at both these events.
 
And finally, the wonderful Racheal Joseph is launching her first collection on Wednesday, 7th September at the Betsy Trotwood pub, 56 Farringdon Road, EC1R 3BL – 7.00 p.m.
 
So come share the passion, share the joy!
