This event is in the past.
Well I’m safely back from Babylon, my third visit to the International Arts & Cultural Festival held there for the past five years, and attracting artists, poets and writers from many different parts of the world. It’s always interesting to go there, and there’s certainly a wealth of talent on display there. But the talent at Loose Muse is easily as fabulous, and this month we have two fabulous poets to share their flair and aptitude…
LOOSE MUSE – London’s Premiere Women’s Writers Night.
Wednesday 8th June – the second Wednesday of each month.
@ The Poetry Cafe, 22 Betterton Street, London WC2 (closest tube = Covent Garden),
8.00 p.m. - £6.00 - £5.00 concessions. Features this month are:
Janett Plummer – poet of extraordinary sensitivity, evoking sensual visceral memories. A favourite on the spoken word scene, Janett is also ‘mumpreneur extraordinaire’ saving the world one hug at a time.
Caroline Davies - reading from her most recent collection of poems ‘Voices from Stone and Bronze’ (Cinnamon Press) inspired by the memorials from the 1st World War, and also from a previous collection ‘Convoy’.
Plus there will the usual open mic to share your work at this event.
So come share the passion, share the joy!
