Location: @ The Poetry Cafe, 22 Betterton Street, London WC2 (closest tube = Covent Garden),

This event is in the past.

Hi gang,
After the roller-coaster that was 2015, I’m hoping that this year will be calmer and more financially secure for us all, as well as giving everyone true inspiration and that wonderful words flow from our pens with ease and grace.  And we’re certainly kicking off 2016 with a great line-up for Loose Muse, so hopefully will see lots of your there to celebrate the beginning of another fab year of Women’s Writing.

LOOSE MUSE – London’s Premiere Women’s Writers Night.
Wednesday 13th January – the second Wednesday of each month.
@ The Poetry Cafe, 22 Betterton Street, London WC2 (closest tube = Covent Garden),
8.00 p.m. - £6.00 - £5.00 concessions.  Features this month are:

Lilithan extraordinarily gifted young singer-songwriter, who has featured at gigs all over the capital and beyond, bringing you her own distinctive brand of songs telling unique and poignant songs.
Joolz Sparkes was shortlisted for the Bridport Poetry Prize 2010, and has had work published in many magazines, and also featured at Fourth Friday, Loose Muse, Ronnie Scott’s Bar and The Windmill. She was Poet in Residence at Leicester Square tube station, is a member of Malika's Poetry Kitchen and featured recently in New York and Chicago.
Hilaire has had poetry in a wide range of magazines, and in several anthologies including The Emma Press Age anthology. Triptych Poets: Issue One (Blemish Books, Australia) featured 18 of her poems. She performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 1998, and has been a featured writer at Loose Muse and The Shuffle.
Joolz and Hilaire are collaborating on London Undercurrents, an ongoing poetry project unearthing the voices of strong, feisty women who have lived and worked in the capital city over many centuries whose untold stories lie just beneath the surface. https://londonundercurrents.wordpress.com/

Plus there will the usual open mic to share your work at both these events.

So come share the passion, share the joy!
