TIMETABLE & WORKSHOP INFO
2011 is the 25th Anniversary of Newham Writers Workshop. The Festival of Writing celebrates this milestone. We have planned a full day of workshops covering all aspects of writing: poetry, prose, writing for children, novels, journalism etc. There will 15 writing workshops in three sessions: morning, early afternoon and late afternoon. Some workshop leaders we are providing ourselves, others are coming from our friends the Fed. We have received funding for the day from Westfield and Newham Council.
As part of the day, we will be launching our 25 year Anthology, an anthology of anthologies. Over our 25 years we have been publishing yearly anthologies of members’ work. The 25 year anthology consists of some of the best of over 500 pieces published from the 80s to the present.
During the evening, from 7 – 9 pm, there will be an open mic session, with readings from the day’s workshops.
