This is the new official Star 45 Class information site
The Star 45 is a 45" long hard chine, semi-scale model of the legendary full-size Olympic Star boat. Boats can be scratch-built using plans available from the AMYA, partially fabricated with major components available from suppliers, or purchased custom built to any stage of construction from class-approved builders. Available laser-cut frames for wood construction produce a consistent hull shape. Fiberglass hulls, decks, short kits and parts as well as complete boats are available from class suppliers; contact information for them can be found on this site. We're looking for new members who want to race!

If you have sent an email message to the Class Secretary via the AMYA Star 45 email address, I have not received it; the AMYA email system has been broken for several months, both the link on the Star 45 page and the Star 45 AMYA email address. Until this is rectified, the best way to contact me is call, Postal Service, or use the "contact the manager" link on the home page of this website. AMYA apologizes for the inconvenience.

You are on the group website for official Star 45 Class information and communication. Some photos are posted here to give newcomers a sense of the boat and class members.
There are alternate photo hosting sites better equipped for sharing your personal photos. You can use any of them and post links to your photos in the forum here, and you can also attach photos to forum posts. An alternate site dedicated to Star 45 photos can be found at groups.io/g/Star45RemoteControlSailboats
