Signing up to Classes

  • YOU MUST SIGN UP TO ALL CLASSES IN ADVANCE. This also includes taking your name off the sign-up list if you are then unable to attend. This is because we work towards having 30 spaces for each lesson, due to health and safety. Sign-up sheets for classes will be posted weekly on the Facebook group and also sent out in the email so keep your eyes peeled!

  • All classes take place in the multi-purpose studio (MPS), at the bottom of the Student's Union building, Level 1.

  • Ideal clothing for girls is a leotard with tights, ballet shoes and hair tied back.  If you don't have any these don't worry.  Clothing that you can move in but is close fitting, so the teacher can see your alignment, is fine e.g. leggings, non-baggy top, and you can dance in bare feet.   Boys just wear whatever you would normally wear to the gym.  Please can everyone remove all jewellery and watches for class.

  • Don't worry if you were not able to come to classes at the start of the year.  You can come along and attend classes at any point.

  • If you are not a current student at University of Southampton, you can still attend our classes, however you must become affiliated with SUSU (Southampton University Students Union), through the purchase of a SUSU membership card.
