Society of Iranian Graduate Students at UC Irvine (SIGS) is proud to present another fantastic event, Tirgan Cultural Show and Afterparty. This event is celebrated on the 13th day of the month of Tir and refers to the archangel Tir (arrow) or Tishtar (lightning bolt) who appeared in the sky to generate thunder and lightning for much needed rain.
Friday, July 15th, event starts at 7:00 PM featuring fusion music performance, speech on history and culture of Tirgan, Fal e kouze and several special traditional programs of Tirgan.
Dinner, tea, wine and especial nuts of Tirgan are included. The after party kicks off at 9:30PM with the latest Persian beats.
** Fal e kouze: it's a surprise. Please bring a unique item that represents you. This item can be any thing like a stone or even a bracelet or whatever you like, but please keep in mind this item cannot be any luxury or valuable item. Please bring a couple of lines of poem which you like for this fun part of the event.
