These reports get briefer and briefer.
At home the 1s entertained Lordswood - and that's about it, entertained !!
Lordswood got 278 for 8 in their 50 overs. Sibton got a paltry 159.
All to do next week V Sevenoaks.
Away the 2s likewise were the entertainment for Lordswood's weekend. Batting first a bad start, continued throughout the 50 overs except for the tail wagging with Ryan Currie getting 43. Denis Cullum batted sensibly at the beginning and hung around but others just gave it away.
A reasonable score was had in the end of 161 for 8.
However lack of application/concentration/toughness soon saw Lordswood pass the total in 41 overs, thanks to a good knock by stalwart Alan Pattenden, 85 not out. Very few chances in his innings but there were a couple which weren't taken.
The Mote at home next week for the 2's.
Both teams in the doldrums and need to pull their fingers out. Both teams need to be more positive, have more belief, back themselves, concentrate more, less joking around (the 2's) and get the job done - then the drinking & joking can take place.
