Unfortunately not so good this week, with a heavy loss.
Sibton batting first losing early wickets, with some silly run outs left the guys reeling at 30 for 5 in the 6th over (of 12 overs)
Miles Clayton batted well & sensibly and finished with 36 and Sibton pulled it round slightly to finish with 73 at the start of the 12th over. The only other runs of note was 13 from Bish.
Excellent bowling & fielding by Elham made it difficult, so credit to those guys who performed very well.
In reply, Bish got Sibton off to a flyer bowling the Elham opener first ball. However the Elham guys batted very well, pushing the ball to the sides and making runs comfortably, with two of their batters retiring at 25. Elham passed 73 at the 6th over, and went on to make 120 for 3 by the end of the game.
The Sibton guys bowled ok, but need to cut out the extras. Hopefully the guys learned from this ready for next time.
Again credit to Elham who played the game how it should be played so hopefully some of that rubs off on the Sibton guys too.
Miles Clayton picked up the two other wickets, bowling very well & kept it tight, so well played Miles.
No game now till the 12th February, but training continues for all age groups on Saturdays.
