Flood update 28/03/14

Posted by Tim Smith, Saturday, 29th March 2014 @ 12:19am

  • Going

Finally the water has gone, but there's a hell of a lot still underground - you can hear it rushing.
So the hard work starts now by assisting our ground staff in clearing the muck, cutting grass, rolling, re assembling the pavilion etc etc- See one of the team to ask how you can help (Suggest Mr Kirk or Steve Hickmott)

Flood watch update

Posted by Tim Smith, Sunday, 16th March 2014 @ 3:19pm

  • After a good week of weather, unfortunately the pumps aren't working and are being repaired but hopefully should all be back up and running mid next week. Thats means next weekend we will need some helpers, thats 22nd & 23rd March. An email will be coming out shortly with an update on everything, and also keep an eye here for details.

The furniture and things also need getting back out from stoage/the roof too.

Hopefully the nets will be repaired in the week.

Flood watch

Posted by Tim Smith, Friday, 7th March 2014 @ 7:56pm

  • As you would hopefully be aware by now, we are still under water.

After the last few days of good weather, some hard work by Mr Kirk, Mr Rawlings and team the water seems to be slowing & going.

If all goes to plan over this weekend and in to next week, and with some good weather expected we could be in the position next weekend (thats 15th March) to be wanting lots and lots of help and helpers to remove the sludge and silt from the square, fill in trenches etc.

So please keep your diaries free, keep an ear out here, on email or via Facebook for any information about this - we need to pull together now to get us back on track with training, coaching & playing, and give Mr Kirk and his team the help & support they deserve.

Also we are needing to raise funds to help pay for quite a few repairs etc - Any ideas, please contact someone and lets get some much need funds going.

30th November - End of season Senior Presentation Evening

Posted by Tim Smith, Sunday, 17th November 2013 @ 4:53pm

  • Just a reminder the end of season Presentation evening will take place at the club on Saturday 30th November.

Nothing posh, just a chance to catch up, have a drink, have some chinese and to celebrate the season achievements with a few small awards (although what you'll get presented with could be anything from The Nailbourne Cup to 1986 2nd XI Div 2 winners, ay Lambo !!!)

Please let Adam Lamberton or myself know if you can attend.
