A good start to 2013:
Congratulations and well done to the indoor side, ably led by Sam Newman, for winning the Shepway indoor competition winning 6 games out of 6 comfortably.
Good work and keep going. Lets win the cup too if we can.
Support would be good to cheer on the lads at the regional finals in Canterbury on the 3rd February - Details to follow.

Seasons Greetings to you all,
I hope you are keeping fit and well, and looking after yourself.
Senior Indoor nets are commencing after Christmas, on Friday 25th January 2013, 7.30 pm to 9.00pm.
There is a change of venue this year – It will be at the Folkestone Academy Secondary School sports hall (See map for address and details of how to get there)
Please do not drive to or use the school main entrance as this is incorrect (i.e. via Lucy Avenue) – see the attached map of the required route.
It is important you advise me if you are attending as there are only two nets at this facility so it will mean if there are lots of people some will have to do some throw downs or practice work outside of the nets – We will try to rotate as best as possible so do bear with it.
It is also important to remember it is probably the first time, for a few, you have picked up a bat or ball so remember be patient, give it 5 or 6 weeks to get bat on ball/ball in hand – it will come back to you, and use these training sessions for what they are.
Any volunteers to run the nets and/or collect the monies etc. would be helpful too.
Depending on numbers we are hoping to only charge £3.00 – £4.00 per session. (There are 10 sessions in all to 5th April – March 29th no session)
It is important to start on time, so it will probably be about 7.40ish be time the proceeding people are out and we are set up. Likewise we must be out of the facility on or before 9.00pm otherwise we will be locked in, so we need to finish around 8.40-8.45 to clear away/have a shower etc..
I hope you can attend so do please let me know ASAP if you can.
PS Some help for me would be appreciated
PPS Don’t forget Christmas drinks at the club Saturday 21st December
PPPS Please don’t be rude, and DO REPLY, it does help & takes about 10 seconds to do!

Sorry folks it is a bit late but here are the photos for the golf day.
Another successful day and afternoon and well attended (not necessarily by players!)
Thanks go to Peter Timms and Ray Smith for organising, chasing up, and their work on the day/afternoon.
Thanks to Etchinghill Golf Club too for hosting the event (where else would you host a golf day ! Doh!!)
A lady won the longest drive, some controversy over the closest to the pin after the flag marker disappeared and then the overall winner was non other than Senor Bandito Steve Hickmott - arrriibbba arribbba!
Looking forward to next years already.
