Whale Research on the Central BC Coast Featured in February 1 Presentation:
Janie Wray, co-founder of the North Coast Cetacean Society Whale Lab will present an evening of spectacular photos and stories about her team's research efforts on BC's central coast. This is a free public lecture (donations to the Cetacea Lab appreciated) that will reveal the dedicated and inspirational efforts of researchers to document the unusual whale behaviour in the region that would go undocumented if not for dedicated conservationists such as Wray. The event at the Lions Hall on February 1 starts at 7:00 pm and will last about 1.5 hours. It is sponsored by the Salt Spring Trail and Nature Club and Salt Spring Ocean Stewards.
