The Silicon Valley Comes to the UK Programme is a volunteer led, student run, invitation only series of events that bring together leading Investors, iconic serial entrepreneurs, ambitious students and successful angels from the UK with leading Silicon Valley Serial Entrepreneurs and Investors to discuss, debate, create and fund today's most disruptive companies that will impact our world in the years to come.
The objective is to inspire students and alumni to consider starting or joining an entrepreneurial business at some point after graduation and to foster relationships between the leading entrepreneurs, angels and investors from Silicon Valley and Europe.

SVC2UK - London Business School
The Entrepreneurship Club from the London Business School is delighted to present the SVC2UK-LBS event of 2011. This year we are bringing a new type of event which goal is to deliver real solutions to the major and most urgent problems start-ups are currently facing.
The format
The event will be structured so that the selected start-ups will have each 4 to 5 groups of five participants each to work with over the afternoon. Once they have presented the challenge they have, some moderators will provide some further guidance on how to approach solutions of the problem and then each team will go to the break out rooms to work. While they do work, the entrepreneur(s) and moderator(s) will be assisting the groups as much as possible so that the solutions are as elaborated as possible. At the end of the afternoon, each group with present their solution to the entrepreneur and moderator and the best solutions will be awarded a prize.

By participating to this event the entrepreneur(s) will have access to top students and professionals to work on their challenges and will have a concise proposal on how these can be solved by the end of the day. It is also a great way for them to gain exposure to the London Business School and might also be great to get new talent into the start-up.

When joining this afternoon of focused work, the participants will have a real life experience of working in a start-up. This exposure is vital for students and professional who always wanted to get involved in the entrepreneurial world but never had the time to. They will also be helping a real start-up move ahead while being part of a group of other highly skilled participants.
