STL WP Meetup Members,
It is with a heavy heart I must retire from the management of this fine Windows Phone group. There's only one reason: work schedule. Starting in January of next year I will have an avalanche of work coming my way and I can't possibly see how I can manage this group to my, and especially your, satisfaction. That is why I have decided to retire and pass on the reigns to two fellow meetup members: James McKee and Aaron Bean.
The @STLWPMeetup Twitter account will transition to their sole control today or tomorrow. I will no longer control that account in any manner. James and Aaron will jointly control it. This GroupSpaces (GS) site will be decommissioned. Your GS account will be deleted, that way you don't have a zombie account hanging around out there ripe for exploit by a bad guy.
James and Aaron have already run with the ball and have set up another meetup for November 9 at the Microsoft Store again. Thanks, fellas! It will be from 11 AM to 1 PM. Just like last time. They have also set up a Facebook group page which you should access here: http://www.facebook.com/groups/wpmeetupstl
If you don't have a Facebook account, like me, you can register yourself with the new meetup managers by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org and they will keep you in the loop with email notices. There is a FB email account for the FB group page that you can attempt to email, but we're unsure if it'll work if you're not a member of FB: email@example.com
As always, keep following @STLWPMeetup on Twitter for the latest. That account is NOT going away. I will be leaving the GroupSpaces site up for one to two weeks in case you need to contact me for any reason. Just go to http://groupspaces.com/STLWindowsPhoneMeetup/public/contact and send me an email. Though your GS account will be deleted, you can still email me using that form.
To wrap up: meetups will continue, register yourself at http://www.facebook.com/groups/wpmeetupstl if you have Facebook, if you don’t have FB send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. And continue to follow @STLWPMeetup on Twitter.
I wish you all the best and it’s been real fun meeting each and every one of you who’ve taken time out of your Saturdays to meet fellow WP enthusiasts. You can trust the management of this group has been placed in capable hands.
