SAFER St. Lucie

Helping Hands Workday

Thursday, January 26th, 2017 at 9am - 12pm

Location: United Against Poverty, 2520 Orange Ave, Ft. Pierce FL

This event is in the past.

One of the benefits of being a member of a coalition is having the ability to support one another, and to draw from that support as well. To that end, SAFER has initiated a program entitled Helping Hands Workday that will allow members to volunteer at other partner agencies from time to time. Our goal is to promote a sense of esprit de corps while helping partner agencies achieve their mission by sponsoring these types of events 3-4 times a year.

Our first event is being held at United Against Poverty, 2520 Orange Avenue in Ft. Pierce on 01/ 26/ 2017 from 9:00 AM- 12:00 PM. Duties may include painting, merchandising, filing or food sorting.

SAFER Treasurer Stefanie Myers is the Executive Director of this fine organization. The busiest single-site social service agency in the State of Florida, UP St. Lucie County serves approximately 525 individuals every single day. So lets get out and show our support, get a some work done and hopefully have a little fun in the process!!

I will be promoting SAFER by taking photographs and writing news articles about these events as well.

Please wear old clothes, bring something to drink and whatever other equipment such as gloves, etc you might need.

Let's take advantage of the opportunitiy to show support by helping partner agencies through these events!

Please respond so we can plan accordingly.

I look forward to seeing you there!
