Meeting Minutes, 15 April 2018

The meeting was called to order at 0921

Eric Hunter, who rides a Suzuki Boulevard and a Yamaha YzR and shares ownership of a Concours with his brother, tallked about the rode for kids, June 3, at RIR. Help to save children's lives as well as ride the track. Registration till 1030. Ride is changing this year. There is a need for group leaders. State Police want to keep the ride to a 20mph ride...the group is looking at. Other options. 

Stuart talked about the Morton's open house. He brought up the fact that BMWW had a booth talking about their rally and club. Stuart presented we should have a presence. Hank mentioned his push with cards.  The discussion shifted tomalsomhavibg a presence at Bike Night. 

Piedmont Smokehouse in Goochland on Broad contacted Stuart about their openness to motorcycle riders riders. It's across 250 from the Hickory Notch. Joe testified as to the BBQ's fitness for human consumption.

TREASURER'S REPORT

Richard reported the finances are in good space. Mentioned the need to bring in new members. 

Richard brought the trailer to his house in Powhatan. He mentioned that his son's band is interested in purchasing alone of the smaller tents and some tables. The trailer is in good condition. Issue is somewhat on pricing the tents, die to the inexpensive price of other tents. 

Richard discussed a glitch with the member roster on the web site. He is working it with GroupSpaces. Concern is that hackers are attempting to access the site. Richard asked that members try to log on. 

Stuart announced a tech session for Saturday, 28 April, at Stuart's house in Lakeside. The session will be on the R1200GS 911 diagnostic tool. He will post the dates and invitation 

ADDITIONAL DISCUSSIONS

Next dinner is 24 April at Annie's in Mechanicsville. 

Wes announced that the MOA announced the 2019 rally will be 13-16 June in Lebanon, TN. 

Joe mentioned his minor incident with his foot and a car driver's  bumper. No serious issues but he stressed the need for ATGATT. Others added their stories. Paul mentioned the recent report showing a doubling in motorcycle fatalities in Virginia lately. 

50-50 drawing: $22 was,the pot.
