I have been road testing ethanol free gas for a long time and will have typical results based on some 35 & 45 MPH roads along with 55 & 65 MPH state roads & highways at the next monthly meeting. In general, my K1200LT get 5MPG (or more). You need to cary some octane booster since most ethanol gas is 87 and not 89 or 93. My 2009 K1200LT is the heaviest bike (over 850lbs) BMW ever produced since it is loaded with everything (last model for that K1200LT).
Locate source near you - marinas will continue to have ethanol free gas and I do use it for all landscaping equipment, pro power wisher, generator, etc. Citgo on 301 is priced at about $3.35 per gallon and it is worth it for me since it has a long shelf life and my K1200LT has a long distance range of 350 miles @ 45-60.
