Attached are this month's notes and charts and the usual collection of stories.
The AGM of the Hawkes Bay Astronomical Society will be held at the beginning of this month's meeting, Wednesday May 14 at 7pm. It usually takes about 15 minutes.
After that our regular meeting features a guest speaker, John Drummond. John operates a very high quality collection of observatories in Gisborne. He is an amateur in name only. John's talk will be about the set up and operation of his Possum Observatory. We' ll have our usual cup of tea afterwards and then look at all the lunar eclipse photos that I know you have. It's show and tell time.
Movie night is the following Friday night, the 16th. We'll be showing Sphere which we were going to watch last month.
There will be a working bee on Saturday the 17th at the observatory, starting at 2pm. This will be followed by a BYO BBQ around five and then Saturn viewing on Saturnday evening. Bring a telescope. We should be on our way home by nine or ten pm.
