This is a great club for psychology and non-psychology majors at Penn State - University Park! We get together for discussion once every other week. We discuss a wide variety of topics and have an organized discussion leader for each one. We try to include activities to correspond with these discussions to mix things up a little bit. In addition to our discussion, we offer tutoring (for our members, by our members) for psychology classes here at Penn State - University Park. We occasionally bring in grad students or experts in the field of psychology to share research and other helpful topics. Feel free to come to one of our meetings and experience it all first hand.

Hey everyone,
Last Thursday we discussed committees before the meeting so if anyone missed it these are the committees we are trying to set up, along with their general duties:
Advertising
Designing T-shirts
Making posters
Fundraising
Coming up with ideas for and running fundraisers
Possibly holding a bake sale
Social
Holding movie nights
Designing T-shirts
Coming up with other social events for us
Volunteering
Getting Psych Squad involved with volunteering for shelters, Big Brother/Big Sister, the Jump program, and others.
Our discussion topic was relationships and attraction, and was led by Amanda and Anthony. Topics included the halo effect, cultural differences, need based love vs. acceptance based love, and feminine vs. masculine love.
Other announcements:
Please bring $5 to the next meeting (Oct. 21st) for dues.
We now have an angel group that we hope to have fully functional soon.
