Mussel Monitoring Looking for lakeside residents to help keep Pigeon Lake clear of invasive species. This citizen science project requires volunteers to place a PVC pipe beneath their dock or pier, check it monthly for signs of invasive mussels, and report back to PLWA staff. In addition, volunteers are to keep an eye out for the presence of invasive aquatic plants.
Community Weeding Days Join PLWA staff in this community based program to help clean up and eradicate invasive species and nuisance/noxious weeds near the lake. Get the chance to learn more about plants and healthy lawn practices while getting your hands dirty.
Nature Walks Looking for nature enthusiasts to help lead guided walks in natural areas around the watershed. Knowledge of local plants and animals is preferred.
Love The Lake Family Fun Day - Aug 10 Join the fun for this action packed day. We need volunteers to help us make this day special and run various activities and booths such as the registration table, craft center, kids zone, and the recycle center.
