Trec Training with Dot Still at Hyndshawlands Farm Stables
on Saturday 1st OCTOBER 2016 from 9am
WHO: anyone on any type of horse or pony
WHAT: learn new skills which are all transferable into other equestrian pursuits

TREC IN A NUTSHELL
Trec is a 3 phase competition. The first phase (POR) is orienteering on horseback with varying distances depending on which level you would like to ride at. The second phase is the MA ,which is otherwise known as Control of Paces (a slow canter and a fast walk) The third phase is the PTV or obstacles, where you have 16 obstacles to negotiate from gates and bridges to jumps and narrow corridors (all the types of things you may meet out on a hack/trail ride)
A BIT ABOUT THE SESSIONS
Groups of no more than 3 for an hour and a half, learning about and practicing the MA and a selection of obstacles. At the end of each session there will be an opportunity to put what you have learned into practice in a mini competition.
