Two teams, one novice and one intermediate headed south to Hunwick in Durham on Sunday 21st April 2013 to take part in the above qualifier kindly hosted by BRC Area 2.
The Intermediate team consisted of Anne-marie van Heelsum, Caz Mosley, Danielle Crawford and Kirsten Warden. All the participating teams from Area 1 were much of a muchness after the dressage. The show jumping cost us points, however we all redeemed ourselves xc, all going clear. Believe it or not the hard ground (yes, hard ground!!) and undulating terrain resulted in us all gaining a few time penalties. The Novice team; Barry Thorpe, Liz Fletcher, Susan Terris-Weir and late ‘stand in’ Susie Dykes after the dressage and show jumping were in 2nd place. The cross country proved to be the deciding factor with 2 PDRC team members going clear round an accuracy challenging Novice course resulting in them coming 1st and qualifying for the British Riding Club Championships at Swalcliffe Park Equestrian, Banbury, Oxon on 2nd & 3rd August 2013.
In addition Terri was 3rd, Barry 4th, Anne-marie 6th and Kirsten 3rd individually
in their respective classes.
A HUGE thank you goes to our helpers Sandra Lamb and Kathryn Muir who travelled down to Durham to allow our teams to compete.
Well done to all who took part, being placed is always an advantage but it's the taking part that matters and being part of the team representing PDRC.

2 teams have been entered a 90cm team consisting of Liz Fletcher, Barry Thorpe, Susie Dykes & Terri Weir and 1m team; Anne Marie van Heelsum, Caz Mosley, Danielle Crawford and Kirsten Warden.
Following snow the last winter dressage show on 23 March had to be cancelled, but we are pleased to announce that this show will now run as an evening competition on the 2d of May, starting at 18:30h.
Classes will be the same as the cancelled show (P15, P19 or N22; all long arena tests) and the schedule is now available. Note that there will be no need to turn out your horse at the usual show standard.
