Anne Paxton with her horse Finnisk Warrior travelled all the way to Lincoln last weekend to take part in the Intermediate Showjumping championships from British Riding Clubs. Up against a field of 120 competitors, she was somewhat disappointed about her first round (2 poles down) but jumped a beautiful clear in the second round, to end up 27th overall. Pretty impressive given the level of competition! The weather was kind and the Scottish contingent was great at supporting each other. It was an exhausting weekend but a fantastic experience! Well done to Anne.

The Novice Horse Trials team, consisting of Sandra Lamb, Terri Weir, Susie Dykes and Barry Thorp competed in the British Riding Clubs national championships at Swalcliffe, near Banbury last weekend. In a very competitive class they ended up 21st (best 3 results to count) although they would have been 12th if all 4 results had counted. Sandra was best of the team placed 5th in her arena thanks to her excellent dressage score of 32.6. It was a long way to go but made for a fantastic experience for everyone involved.
