Hey everyone,
Hope you've had a great start to the term. If you're interested in volunteering this term we've got loads of opportunities to get involved if you just want to spare a few hours to make a difference in the community or are ready to join a committee and develop new skills.
I'm stepping down this term and handing over to the fabulous Ruolin and Szi so reply to this email if you have any ideas for what you think Local Action should be doing this term.
Have a wonderful Hillary,

Hi all,
Hope you've settled back into term well. We've had a busy week at the Hub with Marvellous Medicine, Heman Sheman and Alex Harris all playing at our House Party on Friday. But the fun doesn't stop there with a tea party this Sunday from 11!
The Schools Plus Information Evening this Thursday was so successful we're running two more this week so if you didn't manage to make it then come along 12.30pm on Tuesday or 5pm on Thursday. If you need convincing about why to join Schools Plus, come to a screening of "We are the people we've been waiting for" on Wednesday to find out how our education system has failed to keep up with the modern world. You can find out more about the film at their website www.wearethepeoplemovie.com.
All the best,

Hi everyone and welcome back!
After an exhausting week of Open Mic nights, film nights and explaining the Hub to hundreds of Freshers, we're continuing the madness with a party weekend starting Friday 12th with live music and drinks. We'll be taking over the entire first floor for an epic house party.
If you spent last year finding your feet and trying loads of different things but are ready to get more involved in the Hub then check out our website www.oxfordhub.org to explore the opportunities we offer or reply to this email with any ideas you have.
Finally, the Oxford Hub has a new Facebook page, so like us here so stay updated about all the exciting events we've got coming up this year. There will be parties, film nights, Discussion Dinners, Spotlight events and so much more.
Have a brilliant first week,

Hi everyone,
Last week left! If you've been wondering what to do with any stuff you can't take home then why not donate it to a charity shop. Friends of Helen and Douglas House are setting up Big Give boxes in various colleges so give away your unwanted items and help out a fantastic cause! The Oxford Hub is holding its AGM this Friday so if you have any opinions or ideas whether they're criticisms or compliments then we'd love to hear them!
Enjoy your last week of Trinity!
All the best,
Eleri

Hi all,
Shame that the weather's turned but I hope you've all had a great Jubilee! Thing's are winding down for the end of term, but if you're free from exam stress and want to fill up the remaining weeks of Trinity then check out the Oxford Hub website here. We need as many Schools Plus volunteers next week to help us out with understanding Schools Plus and planning for the future, so if you're free on Monday or Tuesday then please do come along!
All the best,
Eleri

Hi all,
Hope you're all having a great Trinity now that the Sun's decided to come out! If you have any schools vouchers lying around then please do bring them in. They really help out the schools that we partner with. Also this week, get in touch with your creative side by making curtains for our library using recycled material!
Finally, if you are hanging around the Hub and fancy joining our Major Wall of Minor Donors (currently up in the library), then come up to the second floor and ask someone to take your picture!
Best of luck to all those working hard,
Eleri

Hi all,
Sorry for the lack of newsletter last week, technology has not been my friend and it's taken most of this week to figure how to send this email. Given the lack of communication, the deadline to apply for any positions on the Oxford Hub Community Volunteering Committee has been extended until Wednesday next week so whatever your skills and experience, this is a great chance to get involved (if you have exams, don't worry, you can start in Michaelmas!).
Also, we're making a Major Wall of Minor Donors to celebrate the Oxford Hub's 5th birthday so come along to the Hub (there's usually someone hanging around on the first or second floor) to have your picture taken and be immortalised on our wall!
And finally, good luck to everyone who is taking exams or frantically revising in the library.
All the best,
Eleri

Hi all,
Next week is the Hub's 5th birthday so come along to Turl Street and celebrate with us for some well earned volunteer appreciation (there will be cake!), and a truly epic house party!
The Hubbub is here to bring you opportunities and news from the local community so send in your project updates to ohcv@oxfordhub.org. Finally, Oxford Hub is recruiting for it's Community Volunteering committee. It's a great opportunity to get involved with social issues and gain great leadership experience.
Hope you all have a great week,
Eleri

Hello and welcome back to Trinity Term and to a brand new incarnation of the Oxford Hub Community Volunteering newsletter! The Hubbub is designed to give you the most up to date information about all the latest goings on in the Oxford Hub social action scene - project updates, local community news, upcoming events and most importantly, ways you can get involved in what's going on.
For our new 'Project Headlines' section we'll be looking for the latest from all your social action escapades, so please do submit your exciting tales to ohcv@oxfordhub.org!
If you're wondering where to go May Eve, then head over to the Turl Street Kitchen which will be open all night with an hourly prize draw, loads of fun and bacon butties to get you through the early morning!
In the meantime, have a fantastic Trinity term- let's hope for lots of sun to drive away exam blues!
All the best,
Eleri
