This event is in the past.
For green open homes weekend.
Cycle to various local homes and see some of the great projects owners have undertaken to be as sustainble as possible.
Hopefully pick up a few ideas!
It was fun when we did it before a couple of years ago.
Easy ride open to all. Lots of stops. Plenty of chatting.
Please sign up if likely to come so we can let home pwmers know the rough size of group. The more the merrier!
Sue wheat green open homes organiser has said:-
There are two homes in Leyton at the moment plus the Hornbeam/FRP and then the rest are in Walthamstow so we will start in Leyton and cycle to Walthamstow.
Paul and Fiona’s is at Sandringham Road E10 6HJ and is open on Sat 16 Sept at 12-4pm. Paul and Fiona gutted their house and totally overhauled their overgrown garden and made a lot from reclaimed materials. They have built a conservatory with various eco features. It is a very nicely refurbed house. Paul is also an electric bike fanatic and keen to share his knowledge about those.
Lanka’s is at Murchinson Road Leyton E10 6LX and is also open on Sat 16 Sept 2-6pm. Showcasing a solar PV and hot water integrated system, rain water harvesting for garden use, composting, leafmould, and growing fruit, veg, flowers in a small garden. She will also have a 'pay what you feel' bestb4 food and plants stall, and information on local community groups and volunteering opportunities.
