Thank you for your interest in joining NOMA Bark Park! 
The Bark Park is no longer using this GroupSpaces website to register new members. We are working to create a new website and online registration system. 
We apologize for the inconvenience!

To register your dog(s) for membership, please follow the steps listed below. 

1. Click here to fill out our membership form.

2.  E-mail the following documentation to barkparkcoordinator@gmail.com:

* proof of spay/neuter, 

* proof of current distemper vaccine, 

* proof of current rabies vaccine, and

* if applicable, proof of city or county pet license.

Please note that a single-page printout from your vet’s office listing spay/neuter, distemper, and rabies is acceptable. 

(Only Richland County and City of Columbia residents must submit a current County Pet License or City Pet License.)  

If you do not have access to a scanner, submitting photos of your documentation (taken with your phone or a digital camera) is another suitable option.

3. Submit your payment by visiting PayPal and sending $15 for one dog or $30 for two dogs to the PayPal recipient barkparkcoordinator@gmail.com; or by mailing a check, payable to NOMA Bark Park to 
PO Box 3232

Columbia, SC 29230.

Additional Information

Located along North Main Street in Earlewood Park, NOMA Bark Park has easy access from surrounding neighborhoods and provides opportunities to play and socialize for dogs and owners alike. Registered members may enter the nearly two-acre off-leash area to enjoy amenities like resting benches, running water, shade trees and convenient pet-waste disposal stations - as well as separate small dog and large dog play areas. We hope to see you at the park!

Administration, Membership and Regulations

The NOMA Bark Park is a non-profit organization currently seeking 501(c)(3) status. The Park is run by a board of volunteer members. Questions or concerns should be addressed to the committee chair at nomabarkpark@gmail.com.

Membership is $25 per year per dog. Dogs are required to be spayed/neutered and vaccinated. If a City of Columbia or Richland County resident, a current pet license is required, even if you are a student (from either the City of Columbia or Richland County). Please consult the policies and procedures of the NOMA Bark Park Committee. The bark park should be a fun, happy and healthy place for everyone. Failure to comply with the rules will revoke your membership rights.

Rules of Membership

  1. Owners are legally and financially responsible for any and all injuries to people or dogs caused by their pet. Dog owners/handlers must be at least eighteen (18) years of age in order to obtain a permit.
  2. MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: Persons accompanying a permit holder inside the Dog Park must be at least ten (10) years of age and strictly supervised.
  3. Dog owners must remain with their dog(s) in the park at all times and keep their dog(s) in sight at all times. While not in the fenced area, dogs must be leashed.
  4. All dogs must wear a collar at all times.
  5. Owners must immediately leash dogs showing aggressive behavior towards people or other dogs. Incidents of aggressive behavior should be reported to the management committee and may result in the loss of membership privileges
  6. POOP SCOOP POLICY: Dog owners must pick up and throw away dog waste
  7. Bowls or other containers are not allowed inside the Dog Park. Watering sources are provided for use by Dog Park permit holders.
  8. Food, including long-lasting dog chews, is not allowed in the fenced area at any time. However, small, bite-sized training treats are permitted.
  9. Balls, frisbees and other dog toys are permitted provided the use of such toys does not provoke aggressive behavior.
  10. If a City of Columbia or Richland County resident, each dog must have a pet license. Dog must be spayed or neutered and current on shots (rabies/Dhlpp). Puppies must be older than 4 months.
  11. Smoking is not allowed inside the Dog Park.
  12. Only dogs under 30 lbs are allowed in the small dog fenced area.
  13. Each dog must be registered prior to entering the park. Actions related to intentionally allowing non-registered dogs into the park can result in loss of membership.
