The race is mostly single track with some jeep trails and has it all from sand to rocks and slick rock through rolling terrain with a few interesting hills between 6,350 and 7,400 ft. The area is very desolate. This event supports the Continental Divide Trail.
This event consists of 100-mile, 53-mile, Marathon, 30 K, and 8-mile events. The Start/Finish is located 7 miles southwest of Cuba, NM off of State route 197. The 53-mile run will consist of an out and back on the Marathon length course. The 100-mile run will be two out and back legs. Aid station times and cutoff times are not yet determined.
There will probably be 3, 12-hour shifts at the Start/Finish beginning at 0600 on Saturday and ending at 1800 on Sunday. The other three aid stations will have slightly shorter first and last shifts. If you have any preferences for locations and/or shifts, please specify them in the space provide during your registration.
