The Cedro Peak Ultra is held in Tijeras, NM in the Cibola National Forest. The event website contains little information so far. I expect it will be fleshed out in the future. The facebook page is more complete, if you are on facebook.
This year's event consists of 45Mi, 45Km, and 1/2 Marathon runs. Kim King, the Race Director, expects it will be even bigger than last year's event; perhaps 250 to 300 runners total. Last year, with 150 runners, we were unable to keep up with the radio traffic to track all the runners, there were a limited number of vounteers to take runner numbers, and we only had one ham at most spots, so we need to do some things differently this year. We would like to have 2 hams at each station and will have shifts at the Start/Finish and, perhaps some of the Aid Stations. I intend to meet with Kim to work this out. Your comments and ideas are welcome.
