The objectives of this organization shall be to build and consolidate friendships between members, and to share valued information found in each members' individual activities while educating the campus about the Vietnamese culture. We are a cultural student organization on campus that comes together and plan activities to make the campus community be more aware of the Vietnamese culture, language, and traditions. Funds are donated from our members for fun cultural events where Vietnamese members and non-Vietnamese members come together and enjoy monthly parties to communicate and enhance the understanding of the Vietnamese culture.

Everyone is welcome to join this event. The money for Banh Chung's ingredients will come from VSA's fund. We cook Banh Chung on Friday 13th, so we can have enough time to prepare others things for Tet event on Saturday 21st.

Hi VSA members,
I would like to inform that our Tet 2012 Party will be held on Saturday January 21st, 2012 in Memorial Union North Stotler Lounge from 5:30 P.M to 10:30 P.M.
Over the past several years, VSA's traditional Tet was potluck. However, this year, we will have 2 choices: 1.Potluck: Members will volunteer to bring food to the party. If we go with this option, the variaty of food will be larger, but we probably will not have enough food for everybody ( about 150 people, including our guests). 2. 5 or 6 main dishes will be chosen by Board, such as Banh Chung + Banh Tet, Com + Trung thit kho tau, Goi ga, Canh mang gio heo, and Goi Cuon. The budget to make Banh Chung + Banh Tet will be sponsored by VSA. We will need volunteers to split up into small groups and choose the specific kind of food, which is stated above, to cook. With this option, we will definitely have enough food for all members and guests, less quantity but better quality :D Moreover, if we choose option 2, members will gather and cook food together, which will be a very fun and memorable.
To prepare for a best TET party, all members please spend a few minutes to do a survey by clicking on this link below: docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform This is very important because VSA Board will decide which option based on the majority from this survey. DEADLINE IS THURSDAY JANUARY 1ST, 2012!
*Just a reminder to attendees of VSA's Christmas Secret Santa: The event will be on Thursday December 22nd, 2011 from 5:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M at Tara 607.
Thank you very much!
I hope everyone will have a wonderful holiday.
