Islamic Counselling Course

Posted by Gazala Bokhari, Friday, 9th December 2011 @ 11:20am

  • Mental Health continues to be a taboo subject and thousands of women in the UK suffer from stress, depression and anxiety. Furthermore, these woman are reluctant to access mainstream counselling as they are not culturally sensitive.

MC-UK would like to increase the number of muslim women who are trained counsellors (from an Islamic perspective).

A 3 day intensive (non-residential) Islamic Counselling course costs just £249 for one person. It is the right stepping stone to becoming a trained Islamic counsellor. Please support this much needed project.

The next course will run on 24th, 25th and 26th January 2012 in Manchester.

You can find further information on the MC-UK website www.mcuk.org.uk or you can email your interest and contact details to contact@mcuk.org.uk

Qurbani 2011

Posted by Zahir Shah, Saturday, 15th October 2011 @ 11:56am

  • Qurbani 2011
    with MC-UK

Fulfil your duty and at the same time, follow the Sunnah. Although the person offering a Qurbani can keep all its meat for his own use, it is preferable to distribute one-third among the poor, another one-third among your relatives and then, keep the rest for your personal consumption.

The MC-UK Qurbani Service allows you to choose what you would like to do with each third of the animal.

Make your selection and give your Qurbani now

We all wish our parents & grand-parents to live a life of dignity and respect. Parents and the elderly have a very high regard in Islam and it is our duty and honour to look after them in their old age.

Your parents may be in a fortunate position to have you, your siblings, or maybe your children also, to look after them and to provide them comfort. There are however, many who are not in this position and are living their lives alone, scared and with physical and psychological problems.

    MC-UK Dignity Programme
    £15 per month
    (50p per day)

Respite care will be provided for a couple of hours every week. This will provide help to the carer and will look after the dependent by providing services to enrich their lives. MC-UK volunteers will also provide help to satisfy specific requirements and wishes, e.g. shopping, cooking, cleaning....

    MC-UK Dignity Plus Programme
    £30 per month
    (£1 per day)

Some of our specially trained volunteers may also provide help with medication and physical exercise. These are special service cases where we work closely with local and medical authorities before undertaking any of these cases.

Specialist care may include medical services such as nurse duties, or may also include psychological or other physiological services.
