Every Christmas we hold a fun fish-in and get together for all members. This year it will be held on December 16th at Lowsonford. We will park and meet up at the Village Hall and cook up some Bacon Butties and make coffee and tea for arrival in the morning.
At 9.00am the names of everyone who attends will be put in a hat and teams of two will be drawn. We will then all go off and fish the canal until around 2.30pm. This will be a fun, informal match, where competitors are encouraged to chat and share help and advice. Inexperienced members are encouraged to attend.
We will then have a festive buffet when the fish-in comes to a conclusion in the afternoon. Hopefully some nice warm mince pies and nibbles will go down well.
Traditionally we ask everyone to bring along a 'secret santa' lure fishing related present worth around £10 wrapped up in xmas paper. Then at the end of the match everyone takes turns in choosing a secret present from the pile.
