Hope Uni LGBT have been intouch re the following:
We are looking into a joint event with HopeLGBT, LGOS and LJMU unis to visit the Diversity Careers Fair that is being held in London on October 21st.
We are also looking at a Theatre trip in London that evening.
You will get the coach (there and back) free (as long as we have 45 students register at the careers fair) it means we can offer the trip for a really low cost of £35 including great value tickets to the Theatre.
To be able to allow you to have a free bus to the events we will be putting down a deposit (£450) to secure it - This is why we need you to CONFIRM YOU ARE INTERESTED in attending this event - WE NEED 15 PEOPLE TO CONFIRM FROM EACH UNI - we will only get this money back if you attend and register at the careers fair.
As long as everyone registers and spends an hour or so there - then there will also be time for free time in London (about 4/5 hours) before the theatre.
PLEASE EMAIL US AND LET US KNOW IF YOU ARE INTERESTED AND WE WILL THEN CONTACT YOU WHEN TICKETS GO ON SALE.
Deadline for showing interest: 22nd August 2011 if you definitely want to come please let us know before this date.

Hey everyone, sorry that this is the first email (so far in), I apologise. However I now welcome you to the weekly email, where we keep you in touch with what s going on with in our LGBT society Anyway, help me put our hands together and applaud our new committee members, who are:

I hope this year they get the most out of being on the committee and being with us, and i hope you do to.
Helen and I have finally at done to make the event for the Ann Summers party we have all been telling you about for the last few weeks. The event will be at my house on Friday the 19th of November, the original plan being to have it on the 12th but this clashed with 'The Big Gay Prom.'
Ok, for anyone who hasn't been to an ann summers party before, our lovely general rep Helen will be bringing along her box of goodies... and her expert knowledge of the products for us all to enjoy. People can then order products from the catalogue using the order forms, so bring your cards or some cash (payment on the night). There will also be games and a raffle with ann summers goodies to be won, the cost of which will be just £3 per person for the entire night.
The event is alcohol optional. If you wish to drink you are free to bring some along and drink as you wish but if you don't want to, then you don't have to. If you haven't eaten, I live in takeaway central so feel free to order when you get there, especially if you're avoiding eating at halls.
You can tell us you're attending by adding yourself to the facebook event at; http://www.facebook.com/?sk=events#!/event.php?eid=102186946518762 (Invites won't be sent out through the lgbt as this is not an official lgbt event due to the gender specific nature of the event). If anyone doesn't know where my house is or can't find it, e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will arrange a meeting time at the guild.

Liverpool Guild LGBT
Hello everyone, and welcome to Liverpool Guild LGBT!
We are holding our first social on Sunday, October 3rd from 2.00pm to 6.00pm at Le Tabac cafe on Bold Street.
Everyone is welcome to come along to this friendly and informal event, where you'll have the chance to meet the committee, ask any questions you like about the Society and its work, and most importantly, meet new friends and network with other LGBT people.
A special note to our Freshers - Tabac offers a great range of Tapas and other food, so come on down if you want to avoid your Sunday afternoon Chinese and Scone! =)
The venue is easily accesible by taking the 86 from Smithdown Road, then getting off in town by the bombed out Church - the cafe is just across on Bold Street from there.
Any problems finding the location message us at email@example.com and a committee member will meet up with you and escort you to the venue.
Hope to see you all there!
Liverpool Guild LGBT.
