Marrow works with The Anthony Nolan Trust, holding clinics to give people the chance to join the bone marrow register, and raising the charitable funds needed for their lifesaving activities.
Our aim is to give every Leicester student the opportunity to join the bone marrow register.
The Anthony Nolan Trust manage one of the largest registers of bone marrow in existence with over 350,000 people on it. At any one time it searches for donors for 7000 patients worldwide.
Will you come forward for patients looking for a blood stem cell donor? You could be the only one in the world who matches one of these patients. You can be screened by giving a small blood sample, and then your tissue type is placed on the Anthony Nolan Trust register.
If you are aged between 16 and 30, weigh over 8 stone and are in good health please come to one of our Marrow clinics, which we hold regularly around the Uni and Halls of Residence.
1) To get more people to join the register and become a potential bone marrow donor
2) Raise money
3) Raise awareness
