FAQ

We imagine if you are new to all of this then there are going to be a number of thing that you may be wondering.

What Kit do I need to bring?
- all you need to bring is yourself, something that you can get wet in and most likely a change of clothes. All other kit is provided by the university.

Will i get wet?
-The Safest answer to this is yes! even if you dont fall in you are likely to get splashed so always bring a change of clothes.

What is the difference between a kayak and canoe?
- In its simplest form the main difference is that in a canoe you have a single ended paddle and a kayak a double ended paddle. 

Where do we meet?
- During the first two weeks we will meet outside of SPACE, the student bar at Penryn road. After this you will be expected to make your own way to Albany park.

Does the club compete?
- The club competes in a number of events including the national student rodeo.

Do we offer any formal qualifications?
- Yes. The club offers British Canoe Union (BCU) star awards. More information in regards to these can be found on our training page.
