FUNDSNEW TRAIL FROM KALAMUNDA TO PICKERING BROOK STORE & MAINTAINING THE KALAMUNDATRAILS:
Commencing August/September THIS YEAR, approximately 10km of new mountain bike trail will be built, signed and completed between the township of Kalamunda and Pickering Brook general store. This is Stage 1 of the "Perth Hills Loop Trail" which will eventually connect with Mundaring and return. The City of Kalamunda and Kalamunda Mountain Bike Collective are jointly providing support to construct Stage 1. Some of the proceeds from this raffle will be used for the project, which is largely funded by the City of Kalamunda. www.kalamunda.wa.gov.au/Leisure-Tourism/Sports-Fitness/Walking-Cycling/Perth-Hills-Trail-Loop
The Kalamunda mountain bike trail network is free for all to use. With over 50km of single-track trail, there is something for everyone. Tens of thousands of riders use the trails every year but because of the size of the network it never feels crowded.
With high usage the trails are in constant need of maintenance to keep them in top condition, rebuild and improve the trail features, and ensure the environment is protected.
Kalamunda Mountain Bike Collective is a not-for-profit association which is under an agreement with the Land Manager to maintain the trails.
All funds raised from this raffle will go towards looking after the existing mountain bike trails and Stage 1 of the Perth Hills Loop Trail.
The raffle prize is any one Specialized bike to the Recommended Retail Price of up to $7,700.00.
The choice of bike is up to the winner - any model mountain bike, E-bike or road bike, in any size up to the RRP*.
For example $7,700 buys the Ultimate Trailbike - 2019 Stumpjumper Expert (29er or 650B, full carbon frame, Rockshox suspension, Sram GX Eagle 12 speed). Or if you prefer, maybe a road bike, Enduro, Epic, or Turbo Levo E-bike. You can also upgrade to other models like S-Works.
*The prize cannot be exchanged for cash or any other items and there is no refund if the bike you choose has a retail value less than $7,700. You can upgrade to a higher model by contributing the difference between $7,700 and the higher model retail price (not on any other offer or sales price). The winner will be contacted by phone or email within 36 hours of the draw and asked to select their preferred bike and size. The bike must be from the range available in stock in Australia. If the preferred bike is not available, an alternative bike must be chosen from the available range within 7 days of the draw.
The prize must be collected in person from LAKES BIKES. If you are unable to pick up the bike in person a member of the KMBC committee will accept it on your behalf. KMBC will then organise delivery anywhere within Australia via the winner’s nominated carrier at the winner’s expense.
