The Kalamunda Mountain Bike Collective is a not-for-profit Association. We are the custodian of the mountain bike trail network in Kalamunda and surrounding areas, and our main purpose is to encourage greater participation in the sport and develop the trail network.
We aim to provide a mountain biking community where all riders have an equal voice, opinions can be freely expressed and will be heard, and everyone can make a difference by working together to improve mountain biking facilities and activities.
The Kalamunda Collective Committee has some experienced faces and will be working closely with WAMBA and Perth Mountain Bike Club (PMBC).
Develop, promote and protect the mountain bike trail network in Kalamunda and surrounding areas.
Raise funds from Government, private organisations and individuals for the construction of new trails and the maintenance of existing trails.
Expand, train and encourage the number of trail building personnel.
Provide a sustainable trail network that is sensitive to the environment.
Work towards attaining an international standard trail network, which provides a high level tourist attraction.
Encourage a healthy, active and friendly cycling community.
Membership is by donation and is open to everyone no matter what or how you ride. All funds raised go toward building and maintaining the trail network.
Obviously better and more trails !!!
However the Kalamunda Trail network cannot develop and evolve into a truly world class facility without your help.
Over the trail building season of 2012/13 over 2000+ volenteer hours and over $200,000 in budget has been logged or managed solely by volunteers on the Kalamunda trail network. This contribution is made up from people in various roles such as from lawyers, accountants and graphic designers all of which are just as important as machine operators and those out “digging trail”.
This is the true meaning of “collective” and how if we all work together and to the best of our individual skills we can achieve so much.
Show your support by joining the Kalamunda Mountain Bike Collective and donating to the cause. Also, whay not buy a Kalamunda MTB Collective stem cap or shirt so you can ride with pride and show your allegiance to the trails you ride. Online shop HERE
