If you've ever found yourself stood in a packed tube carriage, longing for the open sea (or just a bit of space) then this club is for you!
Whether you're an experienced sailor looking to race against other unis, or a beginner looking to climb onto a boat for the first time, we got it all! Or if you just fancy a bit of casual sailing followed by a pint at the bar… we do that too!
We are based at the excellent Docklands Sailing & Watersports Centre (http://www.dswc.org/) located just a short walk south of Canary Wharf tube station (Jubilee Line).
CASUAL SAILING: Perfect for when you need an hour or two to take a break from your work (or to clear up a hangover).
Sunday afternoons 9.30-12.30 and 1.30-4.30pm, £5.
RYA DINGHY SAILING COURSES: If you're completely new to sailing or just want to brush up your skills, an RYA course- run by one of the Club's qualified sailing instructors- will fit the bill.
Level 1&2 courses (beginner-improver) running 9th October-11th December 2013 Wednesday afternoons 2-5. Spaces limited, booking essential (email email@example.com on or after 12 noon Friday 27th September, first-come first-served). £65 per course.
RACING: We run weekly race training 9th October-11th December 2-5pm. £5 per session. RYA Level 2+ standard. Being a bit rusty is OK! We hope to get racing against other London unis in the next term.
Instructor training & jobs: If you're keen on getting your sailing skills to official RYA standard, and to make money doing something you love, we can arrange instructor training at the DSWC. Get in touch!
So swing by to one of our socials, or just get in touch with us here! We promise we're a friendly bunch!
