This event is in the past.
This is a great series of runs for those of you who are pressed for time and will enjoy a short 3 mile to 4 mile run in good company. If you only want to run 2 miles that is fine too. These will not be runs for speed or intense training (though we always work on form), but social ones that are conducive to runners of all levels including beginners and run/walkers.
We will decide on the route when we get together. I will be sure we run together and in well lit areas. The route will include running outside the park where the terrain is flat and down hill in the park. So you will enjoy a cardio-work out with out the uphill stress. If anyone is interested we can enjoy running by the holiday displays along 5th Avenue and swing by the lights fantastic in Rockefeller Center, Times Square, etc.
Niketown has bag checks and a place to change (ladies bathroom, or dressing room if one is available), if you don't have a chance to change at work, school, etc. before joining us.
We will wait 10 minutes for anyone who is delayed. If you are going to arrive later than that you must call or text so I can let you know if the group can wait, where you can meet up with the group, etc. We do not want anyone to run alone but it is not fair to keep other members of the group waiting too long either. If you are not able to make it please update your RSVP. You can enter comments in the meetup as well.
Notice Regarding Weather/Cancellation:
From shorts and tanks to hoodies and hats. We will run in all seasons. Please check your e-mails or the meetup page for changes or cancellations due to heavy rain, snow, etc.
This group run should last about an hour or so. We can end it with a hot apple cider, cocoa, coffee, drink etc. during the Fall and Winter Months.
