2-Way Radios

A 2-way radio network has been established for Ifafi and Melodie Neighbourhood watch (INW) members.

The network is now fully operational and allows for active members to obtain both fire-engine and medical support (24/7/365) via a dedicated channel on to this network.

The ICASA approved Kenwood TK-2217 radios used are imported directly and not available from Kenwood locally. It is made available to neighbourhood watches at less than 50% of the price of what it's nearest equivalent costs. See specification <here>.
