C.E.R.T. Sunday: Handgun Intro and Safety! Sponsored by your Community Emergency Response Team

Sunday, April 15th, 2018 at 1:30am - 3:30am

Location: VFW, 113 Larch St., Priest River

This event is in the past.

The Bonner County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is trained in disaster preparedness.  Bonner County Emergency Management sponsors the training and organizes teams of volunteers to support our communities during disasters. CERT offers training in basic disaster response skills, communications, fire suppression, light search and rescue, and disaster medical operations (triage, first aid, etc) to protect our family, neighbors, and co-workers if a disaster occurs.  We are the first CERT Team in the Inland Northwest and welcome your participation; there's something for everyone, regardless of your physical abilities!

Our local CERT meetings expand our training while extending our interactions with ourselves and our community.

This Month:

Handgun Safety & Selection

with NRA Instructor and Range Safety Officer, Russell Spriggs (www.PistolProf.com).

NOW is the best time in history to choose the gun that is right for you!  Today’s gun makers have listened – mostly to the 77% increase in female shooters – and have incorporated slimmer designs, lighter weights, clearer sights, ergonomic controls and even various colors.  The newer options have also made the process of choosing a personal handgun a bit more challenging.  Join Russ as he simplifies the process!

There is no charge for the workshop, but donations to the VFW are greatly appreciated.
