How prepared are you to communicate in an emergency situation? When the power goes out and cell towers fail, then what? The people of Puerto Rico found out – the answer is ham or amateur radio!
Come learn the basics of how local individuals and groups have emergency communications options here in North Idaho. Find out how you can get started with a $30 Baofeng ham radio and how, even without a ham radio license you can listen and communicate with others in the area. We’ll cover the basics of how to use the Baofeng UV-5R (the most popular model) so bring yours if you have one!
