Our youth cannot help but think and act the way they do, considering the educational system, media, etc.
Missionaries, by nature, go into the foreign camp for converts.  Also, we wimp and whine that there are no kids on our side; where else would you go to get them?  when you think of places, send them this link!

Senior male, I was active with Ranger's training then I had to start working on Saturdays and have not been able to attend get togethers.

WHY WE PREP:

When folks didn't have their own facemasks, and the ones Brenda brought ran out, I supplied the CERT teams from my personal stock.

Previously, I had purchased 500 masks for $25.00 because I knew a pandemic would be inevitable. 

Now, with the threat of an international virus knocking on our doors, those masks are going for $150 a case & more.

It's never "Too Early" to prepare.  It certainly can be "Too Late".  It's up to you.  Ranger and I have been teaching classes and facilitating workshops for well over a decade in this area of the country alone, and there are still folks who've not given their water filters, magnesium fire starters or Dutch ovens a "dry run".  Others have generators but no gas.  Radios, but not programmed.  Guns, but no clue how to safely operate.

Personally, I've taken this mission too seriously for far too long.   So, this is gonna be a fun year!

We're planning Preparedness Games from March through October:

Low-cost Game Nights with Pot Lucks, Contests and Prizes, tentatively scheduled 3rd Mondays in Athol and third Tuesdays in Newport. 

Anticipate 3rd Sunday afternoons to be interactive Workshops and Group Projects in Blanchard.

Sunday's Power Outage:  What did YOU Learn from it?

Last Sunday, I gave a BaoFeng UV5R Radio mini-workshop at the Cocolalla Cowboy Church.  Dozens of folks learned how to punch in the right frequencies for Emergency Communications.
That was at noontime.  We scheduled a "Practice Net" for 5PM.
By the time we got home, we all were among the tens of thousands in the area with no power.

 So, promptly at 5, we all conducted the first "Wellness Check" in the newly-founded 3CERT (Cocolalla Cowboy Church Emergency Response Team).
In a silent, dark world.  On $20 radios that could reach 20 miles.  Other folks, down in ravines, could reach neighbors up the hillsides, who then relayed their info back to Net Control.
To top it all off, all this was done on frequencies that require NO tests, fees or license.

Some "coincidence", huh?  I think we'll be having more examples of this, as we listen and follow through with our Inner Guidance.

I have  a friend in Kamiah who has two litters of Great Pyrenees puppies for sale…..$350 either male or female.  One batch is 12 weeks old, the other is 8 weeks old.
