HOG: Killed, Cut & Wrapped - Reply Now!

Nancy H passes this on:

HOG: Killed, Cut & Wrapped - Reply Now!

Opportunity for others to get a hog at $180 (set price as trucker has no load to drive back as of yet) is going fast. Also, no butcher shop that I've found will just kill and hang, it has to be cut and wrapped as well which cost close to 200$. So, close to 400$ for about 200lbs dressed/wrapped pig, around 2$ per lb. In store price is averaging about 5$ lb here at Safeway. Confirmed there are 10+ pig spots left on the truck, deadline with cash is Thursday evening, truck leaves Saturday.

If anyone wants more info they can email (nancyhendershott@gmail.com) , call, text me or Owen.

E-mail sent by Russ, Thursday, May 14th, 2020 @ 11:08pm

5/23 Gun Class, Anyone?
Mom's Day, Dad's Day, Graduation Gift, etc?
Endorsed by hundreds, including Heather Scott and Ranger Rick!
SATISFACTION GUARANTEED, OR YOU DON"T PAY.  PERIOD.

Folks, it looks like a Handgun Class is forming - this is BEYOND your "concealed carry" class; actually LEARN how to shoot safely, confidently & competently.  You'll also get a practice gun to keep, that's quiet and safe enough to practice with, daily, INSIDE your home.
ALL gear is provided.  Bring your unloaded guns, if you want, or just use a variety I'll have.
It will be from 10 to about 4, with a lunch break, "probably" in Priest River.  We're still working out "post-quarantine" details!  Feel free to wear your mask.
It looks like we have 4 signups so far; the more we have, the cheaper the per-person cost is, so ya gotta go to  https://www.pistolprof.com/  in order to see the fee schedule.
I'd like to know by this Sunday evening, please!
Thanks -

Help out a friend and learn gardening at the same time.

E-mail sent by Dave, Wednesday, May 13th, 2020 @ 12:50pm

I have noticed that we have alot of new people have joined our group in the last year. Some of you are new to North Idaho. If you are new to gardening and preping like me, here is an opportunity to help Russ for a few hours and pick up some vaulable skills. Russ has been gardening for the last 50 years and the last 15 here in Northern Idaho. He had built several gardens and green houses. Russ also raises livestock, is a bee keeper, and has some solar power. He is an expert at self reliance living. I personally learn something everytime I visit Russ.

Russ is not looking to run a public workshop on his property at this time. He is willing to take a few individuals or a family at a time to teach them. So If you have the time to help, Russ can teach you a lot about home steading in Northern Idaho in a few hours.

If you are intrested in helping and learning from a highly skilled home steader please contact Russ through the INW website or you can call him. 1-208-660-8877

Thanks for reading and I look forward to seeing some of you at Russ's house in the future

equipment trailer for sale $2250 OBO / Yahama raptor 250 quad $1000

E-mail sent by Dave, Wednesday, May 13th, 2020 @ 12:27pm

I have an equipment trailer with twin axels, 8 lug rims and rated at 15,000 pounds. It has new brakes, tires. and comes with a spare.  New wiring harness and break away saftey switch, but breakreak lights and hydraulic tilt jack need replacing.

I also have a yahama raptor 250 quad my son used to ride. It ran last summer, but the exhaust pipe was running hot. I think it may need a "top end" rebuilt. It has new brakes, rear axel, rear break light and sproket.  It comes with a set of new sand tires, but will need new trail tires. I bought it for $2600, but will sell it for $1000. I don't have the time to rebuild it.

I have current titles on both items for sale. I need the cash to pay off bills and am selling both items at break even prices. If intrested please email me through the INW website.

Thanks Dave,  KI7YVG

Ready for your MINI-GOAT herd?

I have a well-mannered 2016 pregnant mini-Nubian, due in a couple months.  She was bred to a registered mini nubian buck we purchased from Bit 'O'Bliss Farm.  Last year I milked her for a solid year!
You also get an affectionate 2020 MN buckling: purebred nubian dam, registered Nigerian Dwarf sire, unrelated to the doe he comes with, ready to be your new herd sire.

Buck(ling), doe, kids-to-be, and a year's supply of milk, only $345, Organic-Pasture raised.
Will include a $50 breed-back to our "Copper" for full price purchase.
Will consider trades, esp freezer ready chicken, beef, goat.
Call to come visit in Spirit Lake at HoofHenHoney Organic Farm!

Free PROPANE Ref - Freezer!

Free PROPANE Ref - Freezer!

I'm guessing a 17 cu ft?  I've never fired it up & have NO idea of the lines re propane OR refrigerant, and I'm just not as brave (spelled d-u-m) a guy as I once was.
First person that comes & takes apart an old "chicken tractor" for me (you can take it away, or load the parts into my truck) can haul off the fridge for fridging, making a smoker, dehydrator, seedling cabinet, solar wax extractor, feed bin or mother in law apartment.

On April 24th, two Bakersfield doctors, Dan Erickson and Artin Massihi, help a press conference questioning the California's stay-at-home order.

Erickson and Massihi said their facilities have tested over 5,200 patients for the coronavirus throughout the county, making up for over half of all testing in Kern. According to their data, the death rate of the coronavirus is similar in prevalence to the flu.

"Now that we have the facts," said Dr. Erickson. "It's time to get back to work."

Erickson said he believes businesses could reopen and as testing continues, people could starting going back to work. In fact, Erickson suggests that staying at home too long could be even worse for people's health.

Then on April 27th 23ABC received an email from YouTube giving the station notification the video had been taken down, citing YouTube’s “community guidelines.” 23ABC has appealed the ruling through YouTube.

23ABC News also reached out to YouTube regarding the notification and a company spokesperson issued a statement saying the video was pulled because the content contradicted the guidance of the local health authority.

“We quickly remove flagged content that violate our Community Guidelines, including content that explicitly disputes the efficacy of local healthy authority recommended guidance on social distancing that may lead others to act against that guidance," said the statement. "However, content that provides sufficient educational, documentary, scientific or artistic (EDSA) context is allowed -- for example, news coverage of this interview with additional context. From the very beginning of the pandemic, we’ve had clear policies against COVID-19 misinformation and are committed to continue providing timely and helpful information at this critical time.”

The video went viral, reaching over 5.46 million views, and sparked debate over recommendations to lift the shelter-in-place order. Even catching the attention of of SPaceX CEO Elon Musk.

You can still watch the entire press conference above.
