A sense of Happiness is central to our physical, mental and spiritual Well-Being. Yet Happiness is not something you can buy at the supermarket. Nor is it a gift that someone else can bestow upon you.
Happiness is something that we can make (or destroy) for ourselves. That is not to deny that Unhappiness sometimes happens for reasons outside our control. However increasing our own chances of experiencing Happiness is something we can achieve through positive action.
Many people have found simple techniques and attitudes that have improved the Happiness in their lives. These are often little changes that can make a difference if they are practised regularly.
Happiness In Practice will be an evening meeting over 5consecutive Wednesdays that will help you find and use these methods. The aim is not just to talk about Happiness but to put it into practice through shared learning and support in a small group.
